About OPA
Oregon Peak Adventures is based in Portland, Oregon. Having explored the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years, we love this country and there is nothing we enjoy more than sharing this incredible landscape with you. We provide you with fun outdoor adventures. OPA guides pick you up and return you to your location in the Portland area, feed you, provide group and technical equipment, and you will have at least two guides on any climb or overnight trip with more than two clients. We are a fully-insured and bonded registered Oregon Outfitter/Guide and a member of the Oregon Guides and Packers Association.
OPA currently offers hiking trips in Portland, the Columbia River Gorge and the Oregon Coast. We have Special Use Permits for climbing from the US Forest Service for Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Mt Adams, Mt. Thielsen, and Goat Rocks Wilderness Areas. We have permits for backpacking and hiking on Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Hood, Indian Heaven and Goat Rocks Wilderness, the Columbia River Gorge, Crater Lake National Park, and the Northern Oregon Coast. Winter activities include snowshoeing and cross country skiing. We also provide mountaineering, rock climbing, and other outdoor skills instruction.
We provide international trips to Tibet, Ecuador, Peru, Kenya, Nepal, and Tanzania.
