WOMEN’S BEACH HIKING RETREAT

Day One: Gather together in Portland and head to coast. Stop for a snack and orientation enroute to the first hike.  Lunch will be on the trail.  After hike, arrive at the beach house and settle in. After free time, dinner will be served.  Watch the sunset.  Clean-up, have a fun activity, and to bed.

Day Two: Arise, coffee/tea/fruit and and breakfast.  Hike  on a Cape and visit a waterfall.  Lunch on the trail.  Return to house for free time in the afternoon. Dinner will be served.  Watch the sunset.  Clean-up, have a fun activity, and to bed.

Day Three: Arise, breakfast at house.  Walk beach to Cape Kiwanda. Return to house for  Lunch.  Reflection and sharing time on the events of the weekend.  Pack-up and depart for Portland.  We can stop at a winery on the way if you wish.
 

This three-day/two-night trip has three essential components: hiking, having fun, and an all-women environment.  Because each day of the trip includes all of these components, we're call it a retreat.  Life can be crazy, fast-paced, and stressful.  It is easy to feel off-center and for priorities to get skewed.  A retreat that combines nature and a relaxed all-female environment has amazing potential to be healing, rejuvenating, and educational. We will sweat, eat well, sleep well, and probably laugh a lot.  There will be no TV or cell phones (except in emergencies), but sharing, quiet time, and adult beverages.

 

The retreat will be based out of a delightful private beach house in Pacific City.  Pacific City is a classic Oregon Coast town, but it’s off the beaten path and just minutes from all of our hiking designations.  For more information about Pacific City check out http://www.pacificcity.org.  The house is fully furnished with three bedrooms and 2 ½ baths.  Maximum group size is five, so everyone can have their own bed.  For details on the house, see http://www.seaview4u.com/detail.asp?idProperty=94.
