Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue

This one-day course expands on the skills covered in the one-day Alpine Mountaineering course.  We normally do this training on Mt. Hood.  This will prepare you to choose optimum routes on a glacier climb and how to get out of a crevasse.  We also cover how to rig a sled and rope up for expedition style travel on glaciers.  Topics and skills covered include:

COST: 1 person - $275, 2 persons - $200 each. 3-10 persons - $180 each.  Includes door-to door transportation from the Portland area to Mt. Hood, textbook, prusiks, ice ax, crampons, and group climbing gear.

We can conduct this class anytime instructors are available and snow conditions are appropriate.
