GOAT ROCKS HIGH TRAVERSE BACKPACK

Price: 1 person - $1,400, 2 persons - $800 each, 3 persons - $700 each, 4-6 persons - $550 each  Includes round-trip transportation from the Portland area (the traverse requires two vehicles), guide(s), food, and equipment.

Itinerary
Day One – Leave at 6 AM from the Portland area and drive to the PCT 2000 Trailhead at Leech Lake. Hike 6.5 mi. to the intersection with Trail #117.  Descend to Shoe Lake.  Follow #117 around Shoe Lake 0.5 mi to our first campsite at Hidden Springs.

Day Two – Travel 0.5 mi. on #117 from Hidden Springs to rejoin the PCT. Continue  8 mi. to our campsite at the meadows below Elk Pass.

 

 

 

 

Day Three – Continue on the PCT 9.0 mi., climbing over Elk Pass to our breath-taking campsite at Cispus Basin.  Hike up Old Snowy (7,930') by the North Ridge route on the way.

 

 

Day Four - Continue on the PCT 3.4 mi. to the intersection with Nannie Ridge Trail 98 at Sheep Lake.  Descend 4.5 mi. to Trailhead at Walupt Lake.  Return to the Portland area, stopping for dinner on the way.
