Porter Support
For those who have had the opportunity to travel on international trips, the joy of porter support is an absolute delight. In North America, it is normally not offered as an option, because the wage scales here are much higher. However, for overnight trips the additional camp equipment and food can increase pack weight to the point where it is certainly challenging and, for some of us, so uncomfortable that it diminishes the enjoyment of the trip, or results in us not being able to do the trip at all.
