Glacier Travel & Crevasse Rescue

This one-day course expands on the skills covered in the one-day Alpine Mountaineering course. We normally do this training on Mt. Hood. This will prepare you to choose optimum routes on a glacier climb; how to stay out of crevasses; and, failing that, how to get out of a crevasse. We also cover how to rig a sled and rope-up for expedition style travel on glaciers. Topics and skills covered include:
