ROOSTER ROCK

Rooster Rock is a distinctive 200+' monolith located in the Columbia River Gorge.  From the summit you have spectacular views of the gorge.

Rated at 5.4, it is a perfect first climb for the rock climber who has experience equivalent to that obtained in the Introduction to Traditional Rock Climbing Course.

Your OPA guide will lead the one pitch climb and the rest of the party will self-belay with a prusick on the top rope as they climb.  Bolted chains provide the anchor for the two rope rappel.

Rates: 1 person - $250, 2 persons - $150 each, 3-6 persons - $125 each.  Includes lead and assistant guides, door-to-door transportation, and individual and group rock climbing equipment.

Rock Climbing Skills Overview
If you are a novice climber or have only climbed in rock gyms we can combine a rock climbing overview at Rocky Butte in the morning prior to climbing at Rooster Rock.
Rates: 1 person - $300, 2 persons - $200 each, 3-6 persons - $150 each.

While not required, rock shoes are recommended.
